WINDOW MAGIC ON 5TH AVENUE

Home for the next few days: checked into
late afternoon following my direct flight (thank God!) from LAS-JFK. Just a side note, flying coast to coast is no joke! Between the 5 hour flight and 3 hour time difference, you lose a whole day going from west to east.
After resting up for a few hours, I had dinner across the street at
, a contemporary French/American restaurant. They're famously known for their "Original DB Burger," which was phenomenal, and actually smaller than it looks! It's a sirloin burger filled with braised short ribs, foie gras, and black truffle

I think one of the most exciting feelings when exploring a city is discovering a beautiful jewel. Although I've seen many photos of this picturesque scene of New York, I never knew it really existed. Like many beautiful postcards and paintings, it was as if this place was drawn from an artist; this magical place exists in
, just a few blocks away from my hotel.
After sipping on fresh hot apple cider and frolicking the winter village in Bryant Park, I followed the neon lights, which led me to
. It was definitely very lively and endless shops to empty your pockets!

DINNER AT
ENTREE: SIGNATURE LINGUINE AI RICCI DI MARE
// CACCIUCCO
DESSERT: VULCANO
Dinner was highly recommended by my NYC native, Sheryl, at
. Interestingly, this restaurant is a Japanese/Italian fusion. The concept is totally open kitchen, in fact, you walk through the kitchen in order to get to your table and the chefs along with the food preparation is completely in plain sight. They're known for their "Spaghetti con Prosciutto e Parmigiano," which is a dish served tableside side in a parmesan cheese wheel topped with prosciutto. Being that I don't eat cheese, that dish wasn't for me. Instead, I opted for the "Linguine ai Ricci di Mare," which is uni linguine

very rich I must say, but different and quirky... I like!
